The Adirondack Club regularly hosts courses for a variety of RED CROSS certifications. Our final Lifeguard Certification Course for Spring 2012 (May 18) is currently full and no longer accepting registrations.
2012 LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATION TRAINING COURSES
The Club offers Red Cross Lifeguard Certification training sessions throughout the year. These courses include lifeguard training, First Aid, CPR-FPR, and AED training. There are 6 classes per session and attendance at all classes is required. Class participants must be 15 years old. They must be able to swim 300 yards and retrieve a 10lb weight from the bottom of the pool.

Please Note that due to an unexpected schedule conflict, the May 18 LGT session dates have changed. The session will begin as scheduled on May 18, 19 and 20. There will be NO CLASSES on May 25, 26 and 27. Classes will resume on June 1, 2, and 3. The June classes will run at the same times as originally scheduled for the previous weekend (May 25/26/27).

LIFEGUARD INSTRUCTOR TRAINING COURSE
The next Lifeguard Instructor Training Course is scheduled for May 21-24, M-Th, 4:00pm-9:30pm.
Lifeguard Instructor Training Courses are designed to train instructor candidates to teach Lifeguard Training (including First Aid), CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED essentials, oxygen administration for the Professional Rescuer, preventing disease transmission, community water safety, and basic water rescue.
Lifeguard Instructor training prepares instructor candidates by developing their understanding of how to use the course materials and methods, how to conduct training sessions and how to evaluate participants' progress. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive authorization to teach the above material for two calendar years. You must be at least 17 years old and there are prerequisites for this course.
Cost is $400 and includes all educational materials. Payment is due at time of registration.
